  • Can't take a lot away from the film last time we played Nebraska because we're a totally different team, but they out-hustled us and were a more physical team.
  • Tries to emphasize over and over again that they still have enough talent. Showed that against Michigan but came up a little bit short. Proud of their effort and now need to find a way to beat a good Nebraska team.
  • Dupree's really, really hobbled. Might need to turn to Isaiah Washington a little bit more. Dupree's older and reliable. Isaiah's talented but less reliable, although he's slowly showing growth. Against Michigan, we had to go with two freshman in overtime.
  • Isaiah has really, really bad habits and he's a freshman. It's going to take him time. We're going to have to have him play more and he'll need to figure it out. His habits are on a daily basis and understanding to practice hard. He knows there's a great opportunity for him moving forward and he needs to take advantage of it every single day. When you're shooting 20% from three, you probably shouldn't take a lot of threes. Sometimes freshman want to prove to you that they can make those shots, and I know he can but it's the degree of difficulty that causes him to be less efficient. Against Michigan, many of his shots were two foot finishes near the basket.
  • Amir and Dupree are still day-to-day and not practicing. Amir wants to play but he can't be in major pain when he's playing.
  • Nate hasn't moped around at all with the team underperforming preseason expectations in his senior year. It would be very normal but that hasn't happened. Maybe one or two bad practices but for the most part he's been very business-like and playing to win, not just playing for himself. He's a competitor and warrior.
  • There's a fine line between being good and medicore and a lot of it has to do with staying healthy. Last year when Akeem went down, we lose to Michigan State and then MTSU and Nate got hurt as well. Coaches understand that. Fans and media may not understand that, or they do but they don't want to understand it.
  • Two years ago, as difficult as sit was, we felt like he were building. We knew this would be a big year for us. And then for it to change in the middle of the season for us, is really hard -- not going to act like it's not difficult. Need to compete for each other and not feel sorry for ourselves.
  • Super Bowl was a great game, wife is a big Patriots fan. Don't normally go to football games but it was an awesome experience and great for the state. Left the game early when Tom Brady fumbled to beat traffic.
  • Gotten to know Coach Belichick and he's always been awesome and gracious.
