Northwestern is hiring Zach Lujan as its offensive coordinator.

Lujan was the OC at South Dakota State, which repeated as FCS champs on Sunday.

There are rumors SDSU QB Mark Gronowski will go with Lujan to Northwestern, although that has not been confirmed.

Gronowski is an Illinois native, so it would make some sense.

If Woullard is not arriving they might go with Joshua Celliscar. There couldn be other WR guys and maybe a LB.

Hate to say it but. I’d take the Iowa guy or the Wisconsin (Leophold check spelling) guy. They have both have had really good defenses for a while now. And we totally whiff on linebackers too. That needs to stop. Wisconsin & Iowa have nailed LBs on the past decades or longer and have played great BIG 10 defense. Fleck needs to get out of his cultish comfort zone.

Whomever Fleck hires as his new DC, needs to be able to get the best out of these two individuals. Not sure what is missing here but these two guys should anchor a dominant defense.

We need a DC that can cultivate these two talents and get them putting up big numbers. Rossi’s rotation irritated me. Hard for anyone but DBs and maybe one linebacker to get comfortable. He subbed like a hockey coach.
