I'm not asking about this year, I'm asking where do people think we should be each year on average. Do you think we should be winning 75% of our games year in and year out, 92%, 50%? I've included a perfect season basically for bradt, but do you honestly think that is realistic for every year?

So, I thought I would run a poll to ask what people believe would be a successful season for football. I ask as people had some high expectations for this season based on comments from Claeys and a supposedly easy schedule.

I just don't get it, the gophers have tall receivers and they just don't take advantage of it, especially in the red zone. You have 6'4" receivers, throw the ball up the receivers will go up and get it.

best game of the year as far as injuries, looks only one minor jury to Wright and that might have been it.

These 5 games provide me my measure of a successful weekend. 5 is better, but 4 ain't bad, especially if one of them is a gopher win.

A gopher win, as part of a 4 next week would be super.

I suppose you could say it wasn't like we were playing Ohio State or Michigan, if you wanted to take that approach... I am not ready to crown him as savior of the season but I give the kid credit for managing the game well with little prep in past games.. We had the right offense for him to run the ball and give him short passes that the defense would give.. Took advantage of the run game and played great defense.. Not easy on the road regardless of opponent... Conor's basic plan was to execute the simple routes for passes, let the run game dominate the opponent, and dont make mistakes.. He did that and we came out with a victory..I saw that as a positive to build confidence for the future!! We have to start somewhere with the kids we got and this was a good step.. Guys getting healthy enough to play well was key, as well. GREAT DAY TO BE A GOPHER!!!!!

As long as Barry is AD/Coach the Badgers will be good!

I am 5 for 5 in my prediction thread where before the year started we predicted every game. I have this one as a loss, and I see no need to change it. I think we bite hard on play fakes and misdirection plays in the 1st half and are down 21-7 at the half.

The 2nd half is more of the same. We cause some 3 and outs, but we give up a couple splash plays and out offense is still offensive.

Just took a glance at schedules....we have a real good shot at being tied for 1st 3 weeks from now.....2 losses in conf play can still win the west.....oh btw...FU Wisconsin!

I expect a lot of 4-3 today from our D. Less 4-2-5 and 2-4-5 and 3-4. We've done the best against the run in the 4-3 and Maryland runs more than anyone we've played yet. We're the most comfortable in the 4-3. Kamal and Taiyon are great rushing the passer but in a 4-3 they probably won't play much because they've struggled against the run with gap assignments and angles.

I want a win today...let's get it done. Go Gophers!
