Mike Sanford, Jr. did go out to Cali and watch Brown last week during the bye week. Minnesota offered the three-star prospect back on August 20th before he committed to Cal on August 30th. Regardless, Brown seems open to seeing what other schools have to offer. Not sure how much of a contender the Gophers will end up being. Missouri seems to be making a push as well as they just recently offered. Brown doesn't have any visits planned now, but will set some up down the road. Over the summer, Brown took official visits to Cal, Pitt, and Colorado. Georgia Tech also recently offered.
"It's great (with Minnesota). Me and Coach (Brian) Callahan are very alike and I know how great of a coach he is. Coach Fleck texts me every morning and also Ty Gatson is checking in with me every week on Twitter."
McCoy is another player Minnesota coaches watched last week during their bye. I haven't gotten any feedback from him on that visit from the coaches yet, but it will be interesting to monitor as recent FutureCasts have come in for the Gators after a visit to Gainesville this past weekend. I think he'll be a hard one to pull from the south, but he obviously has family ties to the Gophers with his brother Luther on the roster, so he might give Minnesota a look.
