Given the various threads, I just wanted to highlight a fee of the main issues and maybe one or two not mentioned. Just trying to sift through it all.
1. Title IX...even Lawyers have strongly questioned it's constitutionality. This is greater than Kaler and Coyle.
2. U's handling of suspensions. Didn't uphold constitutional rights, released names amongst many other things. Timing...even other Universities question how it was handled. Is this about justice or saving face?
3. Kaler/ Coyle's handling...more panic and self preservation than anything.
4. Girl...is she a victim?...Police/DA dropped case.
5. Interesting no other Universities saying anything. We know from BTN, other U's feel MN handled wrong, but is this one of those dirty little secrets most if not about all have some degree of hidden guilt. For some reason MN teams have to face publicly what others have not had to!
6. Will Gophers have mass exodus of coaches/players/recruits...it pretty reasonable to assume some of all will be gone. How many will depend on how the U addresses Coach Claeys. Fon't Underestimate Coaches Support Of Player And Anger Towards U. Also look for other schools to quietly open doors due to opportunity and disagreement over how U has handled.
