To me, some of this stuff is so insane that its unbelievable... Yes, its preposterous that Rodgers is making less money, per year, than Stafford or Cousins in the division. But if I am Rodgers at this point of his career, I would be thinking more along the lines of maintaining a great team around him to get the Super Bowl rings. I would ask the Packers that whatever they were going to offer to make him the top paid QB in the game, that the Packers would INSTEAD use that money to sign a top player that would go towards pushing for another championship season

I understand the "economics of the game" argument.. But lets be real, he is making over $22 million a year... That is over $400,000 a week.. $60,000 a day.. I dont think he is exactly going to live in poverty if he does not get a pay raise.. If he likes Green Bay and thinks they have a shot at a championship, that is plenty of money even if he wants to live in California in the offseason.. He does a bunch of advertisements in Wisconsin as well as nationally with State Farm.. So he has other income besides his salary.. If he keeps his brain intact from the game, he probably has a future as a color commentator on some NFL broadcast, if he wants that. Money is not an issue.. I understand that if Green Bay does not increase the pay that another team could swoop in and pick him up for more money. If he wants to be in Green Bay and WANTS TO HAVE A CHAMPIONSHIP CALIBER TEAM AROUND HIM, then maybe the discussion should change to taking the difference in his current salary to the one that will be offered him, and give it to an all star caliber player to give them a better chance at another NFL title.
