I know. You will tell me to contact Rick Spielman, GM of the Vikings. Minnesota fans get enamored with great skill players and understandably so.. You need good QB play to win in the NFL.. I am not going to argue about the Kirk Cousins thing because now he is here and we can debate the stupidity and intelligence of signing him, at a later time.
IMO, WE NEED O-LINE BIG TIME... It is a deep draft in that area and I think we can get good ones in the first 3-4 rounds.. Yes, you can argue a LB as well as I think losing Eric Wilson will be a bigger loss than we think.. We still have decent TEs even after losing Kyle Rudolph. We addressed cornerback and safety in free agency.
But I would argue we have 3 offensive line positions up for grabs... I like Brian ONeill and Ezra Cleveland, going forward. I think we reached on Bradbury and Elflein was a miss. I dont think we will get a chance to draft Sewell from Oregon or Slater from Northwestern.. But the guy I think the Vikings have a chance with is Alijah Vera Tucker... He is an o-lineman from USC. He was all PAC 12 at both guard and tackle in different years so he has position flexibility... HIS DOWNSIDE IS HE HAS SHORT ARMS. But the upside is that he plays with nastiness and does not take plays off. He gets into pass blocking stances as quick as anyone in this draft and has a strong lower body. I think he can play well when hurt, as well. I also like that Landon Stevenson kid from Alabama that was a center and his linemate Alex Leatherwood. Maybe later picks. But we have to address it... I know I have heard rumors of a trade for OT Orlando Brown of the Ravens and that might be worth it. But if we keep the pick, this is where I want our pick to be.
