Mrs. Roses and I were able to take a tour of the Athlete's village, hosted by Lance Johnson from the Foundation and Chris Hawthorne (former Gophers punter) from the Golden Gopher Fund. Now, we're not major donors by any means, but the opportunity presented itself so we "Rowed the Boat" and went for it.
In one word - SPECTACULAR! The exterior work is nearly finished and there is much work to be done on the interior, but enough of the work is done that a visitor can imagine what a wonder it will be. From the communal dining room, to the training facilities, to the HUGE indoor football field, to the academic support areas, to the double decker basketball facilities for both the men and women, to the integration of technology - it is one incredible facility. There is no doubt in our minds that it will attract prized recruits, provide outstanding support for the student-athletes and be a very valuable asset to the home of "Ski U Mah"!
