i am too lazy and tired to find the couple threads that had pieces of this. reading this article i get what he is saying. i am not totally sure that he is really addressing the injury aspect. for that matter i dont think the new fair catch rule will really make it safer. things are going bang bang the moment that ball is kicked and that aint going to go away, even with fair catch, absent a complete removal of the kickoff. just not a fan of kick off going away.
