I like both the Pitino and Stollings hires and tin my opinion the time for their predecessors to leave was way past due, but I would have to say the most remarkable thing to me is that despite the fact that both teams are going through huge style changes. MS was left with some really good players who will do well in her, or probably any system, while RP basically is starting over after his two best players Hollins and Hollins have left.
While Tubby left a lot of guys who only fit his style of play and many who should not be on a B1G team based on athletic ability and hoops skills, Borton left some real athletes who can play and develop.
I was never a Borton fan, but at least she did not leave the program really talent bare even if the depth is not great. In fact she probably left three of the best 10 talents she ever recruited to the U.
