Bishop Gorman (Nev.) guard Jacob Isaia is highly sought after, and the Gophers appear to be contenders. The three-star visited in June and April, and came away with a good impression of Minnesota.
“I visited Minnesota twice during the off-season, and I like the school and coaches a lot,” he told The Gopher Report.

They've told me that Minnesota is a great school and that there are a lot of opportunities in Minneapolis.
Isaia’s had a busy offseason. In addition to Minnesota, he also visited Cal, Louisville, Michigan State, Oregon State, USC, and Vanderbilt this offseason.
“I had a busy and successful offseason. I was named an Under Armour All-American, and I was invited to the Polynesian Bowl. I was also named either a Top Performer at the Under Armour All-America Camp in Southern California, the Nike Opening Regional in LA, the Nike Opening Regional in Oakland, USC's Rising Stars Camp. and Vanderbilt's Friday Night Lights. Yesterday, I found out I was voted one of the Captains for my team.”
The 5.6 three-star holds 15 other Power 5 offers. He listed Minnesota, Virginia, Michigan State, UCLA, Utah, Georgia Tech, Arizona, and Washington State as the schools he hears from the most.
This weekend, he’ll be at a camp hosted by Washington. The only other visit he has planned is to Michigan State in September to watch his grandfather, Bob Apisa, be inducted into the Michigan State Hall of Fame.
Isaia plans to make a mid-season commitment.
