Ugwu is a top target at linebacker along with Jamir Thomas. Ugwu is maybe a little further along in his recruitment, and I think the Gophers are in a very competitive spot. Rutgers seems to be the biggest competition at the moment. He's been there several times, and it's the hometown school, but it's also Rutgers.
I don't think either Ugwu or Thomas will make a decision until the fall, likely after they've taken a couple official visits. Minnesota may take another linebacker in the class but is also satisfied with their linebacker class as is if Signing Day were today.
