Link: Pitt commit still considering Minnesota
After Sherels (and maybe Anderson too, I can't remember) visited him during the contact period, Pine told me that he'd visit sometime in January and that the in-home visit went really, really well. He kind of retracted from that statement this time and said it's a 50/50 chance if he visits. He's visiting Pitt on the first weekend of the next contact period, January 15. This is obviously a big visit, and what will be key to see is if Pine is still open to visiting elsewhere or hosting in-home visitors following his Pitt visit. If so, it's back-to-business and I think the Gophers would actually have a decent shot at landing him. If not, Minnesota's done at linebacker for this class.
