There was a lot of talk last time around when we hired Jerry Kill. I said every time we hired a coach, we got exactly what they did in the conference prior to arriving here. Their conference record at Wake Forest, Kansas, etc was about the same as they did here. We hired coaches that were .500 in conference somewhere else and expected them to be better here.
Kill was the first since Lou Holtz that had a very good conference (like vs like) record everywhere he was been.
PJ Fleck is 20-4 in conference in the past 3 years after his rebuilding 1-7 year.
