Apparently in the post game press conference it was mentioned that Croft was playing with a "lower body injury". That's why they didn't run him more. He's probably played with it before today. That would explain his "coaches tell me to slide because they can't afford another injured QB" remark a few weeks ago.
Not "gutless" nor "losing his teammates". Just doing what he was told to do.
