since much was made of his arrest for murder, it seems appropriate or at least fair to point out that it took the jury 40* minutes to acquit him on all the charges, including murder.
the first trial ended in mistrial. basically was held in max security prison for last year and half.
hopefully the system was working the way it should, and he can now get on with a productive life. Dont know if charges were ever filed, or pursued relative to the girlfriend assault.

*this caught my eye, reminding me back when i was still practicing law, that after a week long 1st and 3rd degree assault case i co-tried, the jury took 25 minutes (i say it was really 23 minutes, but hey....) to announce it had reached a verdict (happily it was an acquittal).
