If you could host a dinner party and invite 4 living sports personalities, who would it be and why?
Mine:
1. Vin Scully - Vifan started this, and Mr. Scully would be my #1 invite. The baseball stories from Ebbets Field alone would be worth it, but he has so much more than that, including golf and football.
2. Lou Nanne - I could listen to his old-time hockey stories forever. Covers both Gophers and North Stars.
3. Bob Costas - some find him smug, but he has a wealth of baseball stories and well as Olympics among other things.
4. Bud Grant - again, covers football from the U to the great Purple teams, with some CFL thrown in.
Tell me who I missed - I haven't mailed them out yet so I can still change my mind if you convince me.
