1. WI's beat down of BYU on the road was scary. The Badgers QB and passing game sophistication could not have been more impressive.
2. Purdue's clobbering of MO on the road will open some eyes--especially after the Boilermakers' first game effort against Louisville.
3. MN beats MTSU 34-3 with no turnovers and two penalties. No team has scored in the second half against the Gophers this year. MTSU was missing star QB and all-purpose back but their incredibly sophisticated offense and skill players are for real. MN's passing game has been and may always be (this year) primitive. Passes were either thrown at Tyler Johnson or in the flats. WI is way, way ahead of MN in offensive firepower. Sad, but who can doubt it?
4. MI 29 and Air Force 13 in Ann Arbor.
5. OSU barely leading Army at home. OSU has big problems on offense.
12. Iowa barely beats NTSU at home.
13. South Florida bombs Illinois.
14. NIU 21 and NE 17 in Lincoln. Why did NE hire Mike Riley?
