Quincy (Ill.) junior four star ranked running back recruit Jirehl Brock (6-foot-0, 186 pounds) has continued to look harder at his top schools this spring. So what's next for Brock and his recruiting process? Make sure to get the latest on Jirehl Brock's recruiting news here.
"It's been a very busy spring so far," Brock said. "Especially early on we saw a lot of college coaches in school. It's been starting to slow up lately but we are still expecting more coaches soon."
Brock , who recently named his Top 7 schools list (Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Iowa State, Minnesota, Northwestern and Purdue) is also planning to narrow down that list very soon.
"I named a Top 7 schools list and I'm now planning to narrow that list down to a Top 5 schools list very soon, maybe as soon as later this week. I've been thinking more and more about my top schools and looking harder at each school. I've talked to my parents along with my coaches along with just my gut feeling about each school. I really don't want to lead any schools on if I'm not truly interested in them anymore so that's why I'm going to narrow it down to a Top 5 schools next."
Brock is also planning to take at least a few upcoming spring official visits.
"I want to announce my Top 5 schools list and then I'm going to take some spring official visits. I might take my first visit as soon as this weekend or next weekend. I'm in the process of starting to set up some visits now and will spend this week trying to line up a few dates."
Brock is still on schedule to announce his college choice sometime this coming summer.
"I'm still looking at this summer and I'm definitely planning to make my decision in either late June or early July."
Jirehl Brock has multiple scholarship offers.
