Not the ones we want removed, but maybe its a start. There is a plan proposed for the Bunge Elevator at the end of Como near the campus. Instead of just tearing down the zero tax base and high liability wreck, the developer is trying to convert it to apartments. Modifying something like that far more expensive than greenfielding from the ground up. Certainly the reason for doing so would be to appease those who think everything should be preserved as you can see in the article and in the comments attached to it. Its going to be a mess to remove the elevators next to TCF now. If you have seen the plans to build on the current parking lots (tailgaters) you should pay attention to this.
