On Monday, I posted that Wilson was visiting today or Thursday and he ended up visiting today. Wilson was on campus for about two and a half hours and just left in the last hour. The visit went very well. His point of contact before was Sherels, so he got to talk to Miller today. Miller and Wilson spent a lot of time together and really connected. Wilson also spent some time with Sherels and I think the new GA, Coach Grimes (could be wrong on Grimes, though).
Like I said before, last I heard was that no more in-state offers will be extended until camp season but that could change. Miller told Eric that he really liked his film but that Claeys makes the final decisions. Claeys is currently out of town for a Nike event, but I'm sure he's seen Wilson's film before.
Eric really likes Minnesota. His family grew up rooting for the Gophers and went to games occasionally. He has a 33 ACT and 4.0 GPA so academics will be important in his decision, so a school like Northwestern would be a big threat. He's visiting Iowa State and Michigan State coming up. I've been saying that his Iowa State offer was from their old staff but I'm wrong about that. It was Campbell's staff that offered him.
