In 2016, MN signed 18 players rated by ESPN. Carter Coughlin was the highest rated player at 81 and Vincent Calhoun was rated the lowest at 71. The average was 76.
In 2017, MN signed 20 players still on the roster who were rated by ESPN. Autman-Bell was the highest at 79 and Noah Hickox was the lowest at 69 with 74.5 being the average rating.
I am happy for the early successes in the class of 2016 but would loved to have seen more of those players RS last year. This year's class isn't far behind, is filling position of most critical need and are having their RS pulled as much because of injuries as anything else.
There is little doubt the 2018 recruiting class will be the best MN has had in over a decade. Players win championships.
