Summarizing what Minnesota head coach PJ Fleck said after the 14-6 loss to Illinois

- Weren't able to finish drives today
- Had a great week of practice, wasn't worried about mindset pregame
- Just didn't play well
- Played incredibly hard, but we didn't finish
- Illinois was in a lot of 2nd-and-4's or 3rd-and-3's, we were the opposite
- Protection was bad, we had drops in critical situations, some of the RPO's weren't read correnctly
- Illinois did a lot of things well on defense
- A lot of our drives stalled

- Thought the defense did a good job of dissecting what they did
- Got to the ball more
- They went "run the ball too" and ran the clock out
- We couldn't get points before the half and the fourth down stop absolutely crushed us

- Tanner was inconsistent
- He played really hard, got hit a lot
- That falls on me
- He tough, a competitor
- Drove us down in the two-minute drill
- He could have played better, but it doesn't fall on one guy

-Illinois was coming from different directions and blitzing a lot of people

- Everything in the West is still in front of us
- We'd like to win every game, but every week is a battle
- Said them beating Penn State isn't a fluke
- We didn't get a head of the chains today
- In the middle of November and we're still in the hunt for the Big Ten West title
- Have to find a way to play better today

- CAB was dismissed from the game from the medical staff
- Thinks Morgan is still the best chance to win
- We'll evaluate everything we're doing moving forward

- RB's continually ran hard but don't think there was enough out there for them
- Have to watch film to really evaluate their performance
