I spoke with a very reliable source. He told he believes Roddy will choose a Big Ten school, either Minnesota or Northwestern. He also added that Minnesota is making major strides. He would not have included them as a finalist five days ago. Keep in mind, this speculation and an educated guess on his part, but it is educated.

Here were the factors he believes will weigh into each school.

Minnesota - They have made him their number one priority. There is the attraction of playing at home where his family and friends can come and watch him. He also has good relationships with the local players who are on the roster.

Northwestern - Roddy has called that his dream school in the past. Not only has the basketball program improved but he is a serious student and he understands the attraction of a Northwestern degree.

Colorado State - That is the best chance for early playing time.

The source told us besides these points, Roddy must also make the decision does he go to Colorado State where he might be able to play earlier, or does he go to the Big Ten where he has always wanted to play?

No predictions were made for a final choice, but he confirmed that Minnesota is definitely closing strong.
