I know that some have asked for more recruiting content in other sports.. Primarily football. But since I have an interest in recruiting in basketball for the Gophers, I will list the best players in the 2022 class(SOPHOMORES) that Minnesota may take a look at, in the state.. Some you have heard of and some maybe are new to you.
TOP PROSPECTS ALREADY MENTIONED ON THIS BOARD
Cameron Heide - long wing from Wayzata that can shoot it and is well versed in defense. A top national player. 6-5 shooting guard/wing.
Trejuan Holloman - 6-1 PG from Minneapolis North.. Has multiple offers already including Marquette. Another top national recruit.
Prince Aligbe - 6-6 wing from Minnehaha Academy... A versatile player and another top national recruit.
Chase Carter - Son of former Gopher Randy Carter..At Maranatha Academy. A 6-5 forward that is growing into his body and is working to improve.
Elvis Nnaji - Very long like his cousin, Zeke....I understand he is very athletic, as well.. 6-8 post from Hopkins HS.. Another potential fast riser, nationally
3 GUYS THAT ARE SLEEPERS THAT MAY RISE HIGH TO GET RANKED NATIONALLY.
Kendall Blue - wing guard at East Ridge.. Really works hard to learn the mental aspects of the game, according to a few national scouts... A 6-4, 6-5 wing who I hear is going to be on the rise.
Hassan Kamara - 6-5 wing from Osseo... Great floor vision and is good on both ends of the floor.. This is a kid to keep an eye on in the future. I understand he is long and plays above the rim.
Willie Wilson - 6-1 guard from Minneapolis.. Has had playing time on the varsity since he was in junior high... Another sleeper to watch
Others to watch
Muja Burton - 6-3 wing from Minneapolis
Eli King - Caledonia 6-3 SG.. Good football player, as I understand
Jackson Loge - 6-7 forward (Son of former Gopher Kevin Loge) from Morris Area
Ayden McDonald - 6-3 PG/SG from Hibbing
