Gopher fans will be able to get their first look at the Minnesota men’s basketball team on Sunday, October 29, as the team announced its annual Maroon & Gold Scrimmage
The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. at Williams Arena and is free and open to the public.
Fans will watch as the team splits into the Maroon and Gold squads, where they will play a one-hour scrimmage. Following the game, the team will be available for autographs in Williams Arena.
Minnesota officially began the 2017-18 season last week with official practices, and returns five starters and 10 letterwinners from last year’s team which won 24 games and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. Included in that group are four 2016-17 All-Big Ten players including first team selection Nate Mason, third teamer Jordan Murphy, All-Freshman honoree Amir Coffey and Defensive Player of the Year Reggie Lynch.
