Ambroz had a goal disallowed because the official lost sight of the puck. That said, the gophers failed to dominate. Wisconsinis's best player didn't play. They still don't have their top recruit. Despite the rivalry perspective, they are one of the bottom teams in the league. Not really sure what's going on.
Schmidt really let go with several shots, but did not score. He looked very strong. Gritty might disagree, but I thought Holl played a strong game and looked physical. The Wisconsin goalie played well, but wasn't that challenged with a lot of action near the net. Wilcox played well, but really wasn't overly challenged either. The two goals seem to be on defensive lapses.
There is just something that has been missing. Bjugy has not dominated. Rau also doesn't seem anywhere near as effective. Maybe some of the lost leadership with Madson, Hansen, and Patterson is showing up. It's early in the season, but it's time to at least get on a good run.
