Game time is about 30 minutes away. This one could be tough to take. Iowa is at the peak of their gradual climb and they have done it building with local talent and grinding things out with what that local talent can do. They are a rival and it's tough for rivals to see them peaking while the local team is setting new modern day standards for bad.
One good thing is that Minnesota has zero to lose. Another loss is another loss. They can play free against a rival that is on top of the league and has a lot to lose.

Mike Gesell is actually from Nebraska but grew up seconds from the Iowa border and played most of his basketball life (AAU, traveling, many HS games, etc) in Iowa. Clemmons is from Michigan, Ellingson from Iowa, and Uhl from Germany.
