So it feels cool to see highlights of how gophers are doing in the NFL, especially when they sack Aaron Rogers.
But in looking at how many we have (10) and then comparing it to everyone else, it is actually amazing we even won 8+ games 3 times in the last 4 years. I know it is not a perfect measure, # of players in NFL, but it still is a decent one especially when you look at who is on top and how good they do every year.
It's a strong correlation as there are outliers (Miami has 5th highest with 44, NW 62nd with 12, TCU at 39th with 20 and Illinois at 40th with 17) but for the most part the list aligns with the quality of programs overall.
MN is 76th with 10. This is based upon opening day 2017 rosters in the NFL. To me, this somewhat shows how amazing of a coaching staff we had in that they were able to pull that many 8+ win seasons together and over achieve essentially.
