Class of 2018 prospect Josh LeBlanc
Josh LeBlanc has been productive from the start of NBPA Top 100 Camp. The Louisiana native has used his athleticism to his advantage and continues to raise his stock. He has enjoyed his experience at the camp so far.
“It’s been a great overall experience for me and I’m learning a lot,” said LeBlanc. “This camp teaches you a lot about the game, I’ve picked up on a couple things I didn’t know when we were doing the workouts earlier.”
His recruitment has been tracking upward in the past year. Six schools are deeply in the mix for LeBlanc.
“The schools that are deeply in the mix with me are Texas A&M, LSU, Houston, Minnesota, UAB and Georgetown,” he said.
LeBlanc mentioned four schools that are making him the biggest priority at this point.
“LSU, Texas A&M, Minnesota and UAB have been making me the biggest priority,” LeBlanc said.
Will Wade and LSU are looking to keep LeBlanc in the state of Louisiana for his college career.
“Since they got a new coaching staff I like how serious they take it,” he said. “I watched them workout and I liked how tough their guys are.”
Texas A&M has shown LeBlanc that he is one of their primary targets for the class of 2018.
“I like the coaching staff, they are all very up front,” he said. “I’ve been talking with them for a very long time and I’ve developed a really close relationship with them.”
Minnesota is another school that has developed a close relationship with him.
“I like Coach Conroy and I talk to Coach Pitino as well,” he said. “It’s great talking to those guys and I like how up front they are as well.”
UAB has done a great job recruiting LeBlanc so far as he sees them as a school that finds him to be a priority.
“I’ve been talking to Coach Dannton Jackson since the first time I could talk to coaches,” he said. “He’s a cool coach and he tells me like it is.”
The next step for his recruitment will be setting unofficial visits.
