REJOICE! College Basketball is back! Doesn't look like the Rivals network is working besides the message board so I'll post the preview stuff here.

Tip-off: 6 pm CT at Williams Arena
TV: Big Ten Network +
Radio: Learfield IMG College/KTLK 1130 AM/103.5 FM –
Mike Grimm (Play-by-Play); Spencer Tollackson (Analyst)

KenPom Rankings: Minnesota 30th, UW Green Bay 268th
KenPom Prediction: Gophers 85, UWGB 63

Minnesota Gophers:
Projected Starters
G - Marcus Carr
G - Gabe Kalscheur
G - Both Gach
F - Brandon Johnson
C - Liam Robbins

- For Minnesota, backup guard depth is expected to be Jamal Mashburn Jr. backing up Carr and Kalscheur at the one and the two, and Tre Williams backing up Kalscheur and Gach at the two and the three. Backup forward depth looks to be stretch forward Isaiah Ihnen backing up Johnson at the four spot, and possibly backing up Gach at the three at times. Jarvis Omersa and Eric Curry will backup both four and five spots.
- Brandon Johnson was hurt and Eric Curry took his spot in the starting lineup during the maroon and gold scrimmage. It's possible Curry could start early while Johnson works his way back into shape.
- All five Gopher starters averaged double-digits last season

Green Bay Phoenix:
-
Green Bay returns only two starters in Amari Davis and PJ Pipes. In fact, those are the only two that played minutes for Green Bay last year. Amari Davis was the Horizon League freshman of the year scoring over 15 points per game. The 6'3" guard has a unique game. He has a very good midrange pull-up game, but ended last season shooting 0-8 from beyond the three point line. PJ Pipes is a floor general who can knock down the three-ball.
- 11 new players are on the UW Green Bay roster this season
- Illinois State transfer Josh Jefferson is eligible after sitting out last year. At Illinois State, he averaged 8.7ppg and made just under two three-pointers per game
- Green Bay head coach Will Ryan, son of former Wisconsin head coach Bo Ryan, is in his first year at UWBG. This is his second season as a head coach. Last year he went 14-13 at Wheeling University.
- Green Bay is 3-46 all-time against Big Ten teams with their last win coming in OT against Wisconsin in the 2009-10 season
