FAN EVENTS ANNOUNCED FOR APRIL 14 SPRING GAME

The University of Minnesota will host its annual spring game, which is presented by Abbott, at 12 p.m. on April 14 at TCF Bank Stadium. Gate A opens at 11 a.m. and fans will be seated on the north side of the stadium.
The game is free to attend and there are many family friendly events surrounding the yearly exhibition contest. While there is no cost for admission, fans are encouraged to register for a complimentary experience ticket, which will enter them into a random drawing to participate in one of the following experiences: enjoy a portion of the game from the sideline, high-five the team as they enter the field, tour the Gopher Football locker room and much more! Space is limited for these experiences, so individuals will be randomly selected for one of them and will be notified on April 12 with details about how to participate.
Parking lots for the spring game will open at 8 a.m. on April 14. Parking in Lot 37, Maroon, Gold, Victory, Ski-U-Mah and Minnesota will cost $4, while the Gopher Lot and the University Ave Ramp, Fourth Street Ramp and Oak Street Ramp will cost $6.
The University of Minnesota marching band will also be present at the spring game and so will national champion mascot Goldy Gopher. In addition, Goldy's Locker Room will be having a spring sale, which means there will be elite savings on Gopher gear for fans of all ages.
Abbott, which is the presenting sponsor of the game, will host a pre-game fan fest from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. near Gate A. There will be free food, music and plenty of activities for children.
Gate A is also the gate that fans will use for entry and once again fans are encouraged to decorate an oar and bring it to the spring game. Nearly 200 personalized oars were donated last year at the spring game and are now prominently displayed in the tunnel that the team walks down before games. They are one of the final images the Gophers see before taking the field and serve as a way to connect the community and state with Gopher football.
While fans are present at the game, they will notice a variety of seats throughout TCF Bank Stadium that will be tagged as available for the upcoming 2018 season. Gopher athletic staff members will be present throughout the game to assist fans who are interested in season tickets.
Student-athletes and head coach P.J. Fleck will remain on the field for 30 minutes after the game for an autograph session with fans.
