I just happened to be thinking about how great he was. Watched a couple of his matches just now. Thinking how it must of been when my mom was young....she lived in MN farm country, only the neighbor had a TV....and everyone in the area would go there to watch wrestling....my mom saying how my uncle used to love it so much....and the one she remembers is Gorgeous George.
When they get around to it, I expect that the Left will want him erased from the history books. (I don't believe in bringing politics into sports....so you lefties....you can still like George and comment here....I'm just poking some fun at you, in good humor.) But when you erase/change history, it affects and distorts things that happen later. For example, if George is erased....we wouldn't know that Muhammad Ali borrowed his "I am the greatest!" catchphrase from George. Directly; George taught him that when Ali went to see him.
