My friend and I just got back from Lincoln with our wives on a fun trip. Took in a winery, brewery, and a self guided tour of Memorial Stadium. Went down to a place a lot of people go to before and after games called the rail yard. Did a lot of walking. I think the top day on my Fit Bit was over 17,000 steps.
But the things that impressed us the most was the fans. Wow, they go out of their way to make you feel good. We were in Panera the first morning and a couple of guys came in and immediately came over and asked how we were doing and thanked us for coming down. We talked with them a long time and got information on what we might like to see and go to. Then before the game we were at a restaurant and someone came over to us with a $20 and told us the next round was on them. And walking back to our hotel after the game a guy pulled up and rolled his window down and told us what a great game it was. The four of us were just amazed at how these fans would go out of their way to say hi, and tell us to have a great time.
Their stadium in very impressive just seeing it on the outside, and even better inside. I've never been in stadium with 90,000 fans. And being a part of their 353rd straight sellout. And again the fans went over and beyond to make you feel good.
