Other teams can have bad games besides Minnesota and Maryland's was last week.. They corrected some things and played much better today.. We will correct things as well and get better.. I thought we would win today but a great effort on Maryland's part and our guys learned.

The freshmen will have to get stronger in the weight room, up front...We didn't play well either but we do need to get stronger.. We saw a better level of athlete across the board than what we have seen to this point... I am guessing PJ is not excited with the result of the game but IS EXCITED to impart teaching to the young players... Can't accelerate the process.... Iowa and Ohio State will have great defenses and fantastic athletes so there are more teaching moments ahead...I am NO LESS EXCITED about our future with our better recruiting and team development.. I wish we would win them all but this is just another step towards the development of a top program... LOTS, LOTS, LOTS to work on from this game and now guys know what a Big Ten game feels like for the freshmen.. WE WILL BE OK but we may not see a win for a few games... KEEP ROWING THE BOAT, guys... THe process will lead to wins in the conference. Staff will be more active and we will raise our best, each week!! I think we have kids with the character to respond so that is why I feel we should hold our heads high and keep working hard to get to the next level of competitiveness in the conference.
