Maxx had great hands, but what made Maxx great were the other receiving skills that also made Decker great.
1) Being able to track the ball in flight and put himself in the best position to get it. Sounds simple, but most of our scholarship receivers since Decker never really developed that skill.
2) Great leaping ability and timing allowing him to get to the ball at the highest point he can reach it, and take it away from dbacks.
3) Great body control and strength allowing him to make acrobatic catches inside the sidelines and in to muscle his way to maintain position to make catches in coverage
