It did my heart good to see a picture of Coach Kundla raising his hands with a huge grin on his face, taken today I think....100 years old.. I know what people think of Sid Hartman but I am guessing they are the general manager and coach with the greatest number of years of life combined, ever, in a LIVING combo. Just a few years south of 200 years, in combined ages is some kind of good genetics!!
Coach Kundla had the unique opportunity to start his coaching career at Minnesota in college AFTER being a professional coach for the Minneapolis Lakers. Larry Brown and Eddie Jordan are the only others that come to mind but I am sure there are others I am forgetting. Boy, would I like to spend a week with a guy like him to pick every detail I could get from his coaching experiences.. Very successful as a pro coach with a couple of successful seasons at the U..... A tip of the cap to a legend and a great life. Here is to you, Coach Kundla.
