The basketball team doesn't take the floor again till next Monday, and the coaching staff is taking full advantage of it by hitting the recruiting trail.

The staff is in St. Louis tonight (Feb. 15) to Vashon defeat Webster Groves 75-70 in a highly anticipated matchup. We believe that they were there to see two outstanding prospects: Courtney Ramey of Webster Groves and Mario McKinney of Vashon.

Ramey is a 6-foot-3 point guard. The senior is ranked No. 46 in his class, and is one of the top unsigned players remaining in the 2018 class. He has tons of offers. There is lots of interest from Big 12 and Big 10 schools. Eric Bossi said earlier in the week that he believes Oklahoma State is the leader. He does not have a Minnesota offer, so we aren't sure how serious the courtship is. Ramey finished the game with 32 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists.

McKinney is ranked No. 74 in the Class of 2019. He is a 6-foot-3 point guard for Vashon. Minnesota hasn't offered him either, but like Ramey, he is getting lots of love. Brad Underwood and the entire Missouri coaching staff was there to see him. According to Rivals, he has a dozen offers. McKinney had 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists on the night.

Coaches from Marquette, South Carolina, and SMU were also in attendance.
