Michigan is a team that spreads you out because they can shoot.. I know that everyone, including me, thinks the first reaction to the question of playing time with Akeem out is to play Michael Hurt or Ahmad Gilbert.. Which makes sense.. Possibly play Curry, Murphy and Lynch on the floor at the same time...Maybe but I think I read Gilbert only played in 3 of the 18 Big Ten regular season games and I think very very few minutes at that.
Personally, I would like to see Stephon Sharp play.. I am wondering if the reason he did not see minutes, even on Senior Day, was that he wants to save the year of eligibility in case he wants to transfer or play at another school as a scholarship player?? I don't think he has played a minute on the floor this year. Maybe give Rudrud or Haugh some minutes just to rest the guys.. It may be good to get them some court time before the NCAAs, anyways.. Sharp played well when pressed into action towards the end of the dismal last season.. I am just suggesting these guys to buy the starters some minutes to take a breather. What do you guys think?? Sharp may be a better option than Hurt or Gilbert, in terms of moving his feet on defense.. Plus Sharp had some double digit scoring games in the Big Ten in horrible circumstances.. Just a thought.
