We are probably (my opinion) going to be a 5 or 6 win team this year. I do not believe the mix of a QB with no experience, a thin as hell OL and DL, and a loaded 2nd half schedule (as injuries happen and we will be playng so many 2nd stringers that are young), that we will repeat last year's accomplishments.
That said, this board will be full of "Fleck is in over his head" and "Clayes was better for our type of team", etc, etc, type crap.
I am saying this now, and I am not going to waiver even if we go 3-9. FLECK IS THE RIGHT GUY. WE ARE HEADED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.
I just finished 6 hours at a distribution / collection center loading up pick ups and trucks with bottled water, foot, diapers, clothing, bedding sheets, and more to be taken to new shelters opening up. Then on the way home, took our loaded up SUV to one of the new shelters before the river crests and all access from above the freeway is cut off. I am going to sit down now, pour myself a drink, and enjoy the start of the season of the greatest sport on earth and get ready to watch my favorite team in action. Fleck IS the guy. This season will have plenty of negatives, but I am saying it now...you won't hear me bitch once as I think we are going to be Elite sooner rather than later.
Flip the damn coin and let's get this thing kicked off!
