I am probably overthinking this but this is in light of what happened in Toronto... The Blue Jays have a retractable dome and had it closed... Very close by to the stadium is the CN Tower, which rises over 1460 feet at its highest floor..Some ice fell off the CN Tower and put a hole in the top of the roof at the Blue Jays' field. My first thought was "My goodness, I hope no one was hurt with other ice falling off the top of the building". The CN Tower hovers above the basketball arena in Toronto, as well.
Minneapolis has the IDS, Capella, and Wells Fargo Towers over 775 feet tall.. What if ice fell off those buildings and landed below?? My real question is whether those buildings have some type of heating system that keeps it warm enough so ice cant form and drop off where it hits or injures someone very badly??
