Looking at the Gopher roster, I noticed that as of now we return only 3 LBs with experience next year.
Granted, Guthrie and this years incoming recruits could rectify the situation, but if they don't we could be in trouble.
That brings up the new red-shirt rule.
Believe it or not, none of Huff Cashman Martin Coughlin or Barber were ever red-shirted.
Cashman and Huff are Seniors so if one of them red-shirted this year, it could help out tremendously.
Keep in mind they could still play in 4 games this year while red-shirting.
They could each play 4 different games and both be red-shirted to gain an additional year.
Split them against Iowa, OSU, Nebraska, Indiana, Purdue, Northwestern, Maryland and Wisconsin, or just red-shirt one of them.
