Yesterday was a big step in the right direction for the guard trio of Kevin Dorsey, Nate Mason, and Dupree McBrayer. They were solid on defense, forced turnovers, and got to the rim consistently. It is obvious that we are a young team, but I also see steps in the right direction from these three. Dupree especially has all the potential in the world, and if he gains 10-15 lbs and improves his jumper, watch out. All three of them need to work hard in the offseason to improve their jumpshooting and efficiency, as they have combined to shoot less than 34% from the field and under 28% from 3. Regardless, potential is there if they stick with it and keep improving under this staff. We will have some weapons next year with these three returning and five newcomers led by Coffey and Lynch. That is my take on the steady improvement of these guys, I just wish we would learn how to finish a game.
