I said that Billy Davis, former defensive assistant coach in the NFL, would get hired at Ohio State.. Davis met Urban Meyer back in the mid 1980's and was Meyer's best man in his wedding... Davis has NFL experience in elaborate blitz schemes, especially in the 3-4 defense.. i would think that one of their star recruits, Baron Browning, will alternate between standing up as a LB and a down lineman as as DE, if Davis has his way.
The other interesting rumor involves Kevin Wilson, former Indiana coach.... I have heard that Wilson may be consulting the Buckeyes for this bowl game on offense but don't know to what level.. No big deal if its a few phone calls as many coaches do that with each other.. But someone that is doing more than that, it becomes a more interesting story. Would be an interesting hire for the Buckeyes if he becomes offensive coordinator, next year... Explosive offenses at Oklahoma before Indiana.. Wilson has proved that a former offensive lineman and offensive line coach can have explosive offenses.. More rumor than anything right now but something to keep an eye on in the upcoming off season,
