I have a friend who is an assistant coach at Bellevue HS in Ohio, which will be the opponent of Shelby this coming Friday... The Bellevue coach has a young son that had played locally for a traveling team in baseball 2 summers ago but did not have a team for this past summer.. He looked around for his son and found that Shelby had a traveling team that his son could participate. The coach was McGuire Albert's Dad.. The Bellevue coach got to know him pretty good over the summer and met all the Albert kids.. That is a long running name in the town of Shelby so they go generations deep in the area. According to the Bellevue assistant, they are ALL GREAT KIDS.. I trust the Bellevue coach's judgement as I have known his family for decades.

McGuire Albert's dad is a great guy and the kids are hard working and smart kids.... I am sure that Coach Fleck has heard about him but PLEASE, if you have a relationship with Fleck, Warinner, or Ciarocca. let them know to keep this kid in mind... 15 TD passes, WELL OVER 750 yards, and multiple TD runs is worth keeping in mind if he only played 3 games, is a sophomore, and real athletic as a QB.. I talked to some people down there towards Shelby and some dont think they should pull out the Sophomore to put Brennan Armstrong back in.. They may share snaps, who knows?? But again, Armstrong was first team All-Ohio going to Minnesota, so its not like we are talking about a slouch here.

My friend who is the coach is the brother in law of the former fullback of Wisconsin in 2 of their Rose Bowl years. Their family is pretty PRO-BADGERS so I am pretty sure they have discussed with the Alberts the merits of going to Wisconsin... UGGGGGHHHHH!!! Wisconsin has had a good presence in Ohio for quite awhile and their prize QB recruit for next year is from the Cincinnati area. I have no idea what the future holds for Albert but when I hear "ATHLETIC Sophomore QB who is 6-5 and successful.. A great kid", that gets my attention and makes me want to contact Fleck directly, if I had that relationship with him... I PROMISE I will stop posting about this kid but I think he has the chance to be one of the better ones in the state AND WE ALREADY HAVE AN "IN" with the program.
