I have been recording TV content digitally on my TiVo (amazing technology!!) for more than 10 years. With 300 HD hours of storage on my hard drive, I'm able to keep a lot of shows and movie in the queue that I re-watch...when nothing else is good.

Lately there are 2 action movies that I keep watching over and over. STP or SOB had a post a few months ago about the best action movies since Heat, The Bourne movies and others. Today I say (strongly) that John Wick (2014) and V for Vendetta (2006) are the best, kick ass, action movies out there today!!!

They must both have big ratings as they are being shown a lot on cable.

Other than these two, The Bourne Legacy with Jeremy Renner was the other best action movie I've seen in the last 5-10 years besides the Bourne Trilogy.

Keanu Reeves is one badass MF!!! And he gets revenge against the Russian mob that is a beautiful thing!! I almost never believe in revenge. But, in this case, I cheered every time John Wick kicked the asses of his torturers.

V for Vendetta is almost 10 years old, but I think it's been getting such large ratings lately that it's turning into an action cult movie. So, it's being shown a lot.

With good reason as it also kicks ass...big time!!! It's an anti-fascist movie set in the UK in the future. It shows how one insightful visionary can bring down a government, using intelligent propaganda, killings of famous fascist mouthpieces, and even a few timely bombings. It's quite an amazing story!!

Maybe all of you are familiar with these two movies. But, if you are not, I hope you enjoy them as much as I have lately. I cheer these guys through the whole movie!

Let me know if you agree with me that John Wick kicks ass!!!
