To kick off the first day of the post dead period blues, Minnesota had both Knuth and Sallis on campus for individual workouts on Tuesday.
For Sallis, I think his workout will be pivotal to determine where he's at on the pecking order of the tight end board. The three-star prospect has June officials scheduled with UConn (June 4) and Marshall (June 25).
ICYMI, we caught up with Sallis back in April at the Rivals Camp in Dallas where he talked about his interest in the Gophers.
Minnesota will hold their first football camp on Wednesday and Matthew Kennedy will be there for full coverage on our behalf. Matt is currently a sports reporter for the Minnesota Daily where he's covered softball, golf, wrestling, hockey, football, and basketball. He'll continue to do work there and also help us out moving forward with football and basketball coverage.
In terms of Wednesday's camp, there will be some notable participants expected that include the following:
TARGETS:
- Jackson was on campus Tuesday for a tour and is expected to camp with the Gophers on Wednesday. Minnesota offered the three-star prospect back in September. Jackson is planning to camp at Michigan State, Illinois, and Ohio State as well. @JaredHalus caught up with Jackson just seven days ago with this update.
