Two topics: strategy and personnel.
I think we should just be taking a knee whenever the ball gets into the endzone. We've run it out a couple times and have been lucky to get back to the 20, let alone the 25. Take the free yards and don't get anyone hurt. Obviously this doesn't apply when we're down and need a play or whatever, but most of the time we should just take it on the 25.
Same applies with the new FC rule. We should be happy to make the FC on a short, big-hangtime kick. The low line-drives we should run with.
Now, with no Rodney, who do you get to do it? I think both Douglas and Shenault (who were back there last week) are great speed guys but neither is particularly solidly built. I cringe at the thought of one of them taking a huge collision.
If we're not going to run it out most of the time, you just need someone with good hands. Doesn't need to be a speed burner. Howard? JFC? Matt Morse? Any ideas?
