I talked with Malik a couple days ago because he'll be deciding soon. It's a four horse race between Minnesota, St. John's, South Carolina, and Rutgers in no order. An East Coast guy told me that mom wants Minnesota and dad wants Rutgers. That would make sense because mom went on the official visit to Minnesota and I'm sure was sold, while Pervis goes back with Eddie Jordan and appreciates the NBA connections he has. I haven't confirmed that this is true, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

So, where does he end up? Hard to say. Minnesota makes sense because the Gophers have been on him the longest and have built a great relationship. We have what he's looking for in terms of playing time. South Carolina makes sense because they were the only other official visit (and more recently too) and Frank Martin is after him hard. Rutgers makes sense because it's close to home and his dad knows Eddie Jordan well. St. John's makes sense because they have the most momentum and will get the last visit.

This article is a little bit more St. John's and Rutgers heavy because those are the places he's recently visited and are noteworthy at this time.

The biggest question is what they decide to do with the last scholarship, and I'm not sure if Ellison is in those plans now that Gilbert committed.

Sorry for taking so long to link the article to the board. I really haven't had WiFi for about 48 hours. Here it is: Ellison will choose soon
