A couple of weeks ago we mentioned Grant Sherfield as a player to watch in the 2019 Class. The 6-foot-2 shooting guard from Sunrise Christian committed in 2017 to Steve Alford and UCLA.
Since then, Alford was fired by the Bruins. That is when we gave the heads up. Sherfield just received his release and will reopen his recruitment.
The common denominator is Minnesota assistant, Kyle Lindsted. He is the former Head Coach at Sunrise.
Sherfield is ranked No. 102 by Rivals in the 2019 Class. Expect Lindsted and Minnesota to get heavily involved.
